Unexplained infertility – is there such a thing?
Many couples who are trying to conceive for many years may be labelled as unexplained infertility. Very depressing and many will be advised to try IUI and IVF. Some will succeed but many still not pregnant.
Unexplained infertility is when there is proof of ovulation, adequate sperm quality and quantity and both Fallopian tubes are normal. But, that’s not all the reason for not getting pregnant.
There’s still a list of causes of unexplained infertility. And, some of these causes, may not be solved with IVFs or IUIs.
So, there’s no such a thing as unexplained. Unexplained means more tests need to be done to find the cause.
There’s always a reason for not getting pregnant.
